Typhoon on Planet Asuni by Elitanna Typhoon on Planet Asuni by Elitanna
This is my first space art, Thank you NASA for taking great typhoon pictures and many Youtube guides on PhotoShop.

PLEASE VISIT
[link]
for planet guide, this guide is amazing and taught me just what I needed to know before I created my planet.

For starfield PLEASE also check out
[link]
He also gives you a beginners guide to creating a starfield.

I would strongly encourage anyone who gets interested in space art to CHECK THESE TWO VIDEOS OUT! They helped me tremendously.
The picture depicts a Para-Terraformed planet roughly the size of Pluto. Terraforming is impracticable for its very weak surface gravity and lack of geological activity combined with almost no magnetosphere would have left it vulnerable to its atmosphere being stripped away from its Sun, K8 type star.

Because the planet has an extremely eccentrical orbit, massive temperature rises and falls have created massive storms such as the Typhoon depicted.
Average winter lasts roughly 9 earth years and can dip as cold as - 50 degrees C on mid latitudes while summers scorch the surface with 85 degrees C.

Para-Terraforming is a world house type design. The entire planet of Asuni is encased in a transparent layer of a self repairing shield just on the edge of it's atmosphere.

Colonists from Alasuya settled on this moon as part of their quest to spread life throughout the Universe.
